Celebrity Cruises believes that travel opens our minds and hearts, connecting us beyond borders. To amplify this message, we launched their “Beyond Borders” campaign with this spot. It was the first commercial to air during the first presidential debate on September 27, 2016, the most highly viewed debate in American history with 84 million viewers.
The morning after the debate we ran full-page ads on the back pages of the New York Times, San Francisco Chronicle, Washington Post, and other leading publications. Homepage takeovers also ran on sites featuring post-debate coverage, such as the Huffington Post.
